Standard Shortwave Infrared Lamps
Type T-3 is a high intensity, shortwave infrared lamp. It measures 3/8" in diameter and lenghts are variable. This lamp provides shortwave infrared radiation with element temperatures up to 4,000°F. Construction is a sealed quartz tube with an internal tungsten element. These lamps are available in several lighted lengths with wattages ratings of 100-200 watts per linear inch. |

Peak Emission: 1-2 Microns
Available in wattages up to 200 watts/in.
Tungsten responds rapidly when a voltage is applied. In less than 1 second, over 90% of the IR energy is available. The quartz envelope allows transmission of the IR energy, while protecting the filament from convective cooling and corrosion. The quartz is evacuated and filled with inert gases. A small amount of halogen gas is added to promote long life of the emitter. |

These lamps are available with a white ceramic reflector
coating on the back of the lamp to make them unidirectional. |
A ruby colored quartz envelope is also available for filtering out most of the visible light. |

Medium Wavelength T-3 Lamps
T-3 MW lamp is a unique product offered by Anderson Thermal Devices, and fill a gap in the market place for higher wattages at medium wavelength. These lamps heat up and cool down faster than any other medium wave length heater. The heaters are avaliable in various lengths, wattages, and terminations. |

Peak Emission: 2-3 microns
Emission: 200 watts/in.
This T-3 MW lamp has approximately six times the emitting surface area as compared with a T-3 short wave lamp. That allows the filament temperature to operate at much lower temperatures, which eliminates most of the visible light, and shifts the wavelength towards the medium wavelength ranges. The T-3 MW is a sealed construction, which provides a life expectancy in excess of 5000 hours.

"C" T-3 Lamps
These unique lamps are offered exclusively by Anderson Thermal Devices. The lamps wattage and performance are similar to standard T-3SW lamps, but the seals are outside of the heated area. |
