This type of coating eliminates the need for reflective mirrors and other optical devices, making it a space-saving, low-cost alternative.
Our Ruby Red lamp provides the benefits of short wavelength T-3 lamps, without the glare. This lamp has high heating rates in up to 100 watts per inch and has instant on and off capabilities similar to a T-3 lamp. The Ruby Red lamp utilizes a colored quartz envelope that surrounds the tungsten filament and filters out the objectionable visible light, which minimizes color selective heating.

The Ruby Red lamp is designed for applications where T-3 quartz halogen lamps have been typically used. It is designed for applications where the visible light (glare) is objectionable to employees. The wavelength spectrum is basically the same at the T-3, less the visible portion and the small losses beyond the visible. Hence, applications where short wave IR has been used will work with the Ruby Red lamp.
